7. Frank's Restaurant / Frank's Out Back

PAWLEYS ISLAND.   White linen and candlelight set the tone for an elegant experience at Frank's, one of the very best restaurants in Grand Strand region. The award-winning menu of New American dishes includes several unique seafood preparations such as mussels with cilantro, lemongrass and jalapenos, decadent risotto with shrimp, scallops, and mussels, and seared tuna over Thai rice with warm Asian slaw. While retaining the elegance of its parent, Frank's Out Back (literally a separate restaurant behind the original) puts a new spin on casual dining, with similarly inventive cuisine and the addition of some tasty and unusual wood fired pizzas. Great place. The outside restaurant, called Frank's Outback, is just as fabulous.

You cannot go wrong at this place. The food is great. The service is great. The atmosphere is great. Frank's is the more formal indoor restaurant & bar (although dress is casual). Frank's Outback (literally, behind Frank's) is the same service & food in an outdoor or more "back porch" setting. One thing to note is that the restaurants are located at Pawley's Island which is about a 30 minute ride south of Myrtle Beach.
