3. Bistro 821

We were completely disappointed with our Bistro 821 dinner last Thursday night. The service was amazingly neglectful and the food was barely acceptable. My boyfriend's sugar cane skewered shrimp was left on the fire too long and was tough. My paella was bland - more a boring risotto than anything with saffron. Thankfully, they didn't overcook that seafood. Even with plenty of waitstaff standing around bored, it took 8-10 minutes after our meals arrived to get a knife and the waited never check on us after that. My boyfriend was a waiter and bartender in upscale restaurants, so we pretty understand but this was just terrible on many levels. For $130 meal for two, I expect a lot more than that.
