Built in the 18th century, this vast building was formerly a royal estate. The palace itself was designed by Medrano. However, the real attraction is the display of art that depicts the history of Italian painting, presented chronologically, Though most are religious in subject matter, various schools are displayed, including Mannerism, Venetian, and the groundbreaking works of Titian and El Greco. The royal apartments are also available for tours, which show visitors an array of antique furniture and porcelain pieces.
