ELLISTON PLACE.
This popular family-style restaurant offers one of the best meals for the money in Nashville. Close to the Vanderbilt campus, Rotier's menu is distinctly Southern, including an awesome meat and three lunch special. For those looking for greasy spoon fare, the mouth-watering cheeseburger plate with onion rings is a must and, of course, begs to be chased with a shake.

I hadn't been to Rotier's Restaurant for a long time. I had experienced good fried oysters and ones that were almost burnt. The last trip, and I might add the last one, was that experience. The lettuce salad left a lot to be desired also The drinks are in a bottle except for tea and water. If you want another drink you pay for it if it is in the bottle. The tea was bad. When I mentioned it to the server she said that was the old tea and there was some new tea which she got for me. It was better.
The person with me ordered a hamburger. The was a question whether it was done enough. The server took it over by the light and said it because of the pink light bulbs. The lights were very dim and it was in the middle of the afternoon.
The meal was expensive. I don't like to pay for food that I don't consider to be good. I will go to Arnolds in the future on 8th Avenue South. Never had a bad meal there in my life.
