About 10Best's Nashville Attractions & Activities Selections:
Nashville is a city of music, parks and history, so naturally there are plenty of things to do and see. If you are here for the music, there are plenty of attractions to fulfill the need when taking a break from the shows. With the Country Music Hall of Fame, Ryman Auditorium and Grand Ole Opry, visitors of all ages can explore the roots of Nashville's music scene. Historic sites unrelated to music abound, with plantation homes such as Andrew Jackson's Hermitage leading the way. Museums showcase artwork, provide opportunities to experience the history of the area, and offer botanical gardens where you can forget the busy business scene for a while. The City of Parks offers plenty of choices for an escape to nature, whether you desire a quiet picnic or an invigorating run. Centennial Park, meanwhile, features a full-size replica of the Greek Parthenon, built in 1897 for the Centennial Exposition; it now houses the city art museum. Before the kids tire of museums, take them to the Adventure Science Center, which has plenty of fun hands-on exhibits. Kids will also enjoy the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, especially when they see the giant playground called the "Jungle Gym."

The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum is one of Nashville's newest attractions and we wanted to take the time and share with you a little bit of information about us! We are located in the heart of downtown Nashville, two blocks from Broadway, behind the Gaylord Entertainment Center and one block west of the Country Music Hall of Fame. We appeal to any-sized group that is visiting Nashville and is interested in getting a taste of Music City. The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum focuses on and showcases the actual musicians and session players that have played with some of the major music artists in history. Our museum is broken up into sections: Nashville and The A-Team; Detroit/Motown and The Funk Brothers; Muscle Shoals, AL and The Swampers; California and The Wrecking Crew; Memphis with Booker T and the MG's and The Memphis Boys; and a few musicians from New York. The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum covers all genres of music including country, rhythm and blues, soul, funk, jazz, rock and pop. Whether it's Bob Dylan and The Beatles, the major artists from Motown, The Mamas and the Papas and The Beach Boys, or Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash, we have something to offer everyone! The musicians and instruments on display at the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum have made their mark on music history and we would love to share some of their stories with you!

This was the funniest tour I have ever taken – we never laughed so much! I don't think I would want to take anyone under 16 on the tour, as it's pretty much adult humor. This trip does book up early; we had called one month in advance and still had a hard time getting a tour time. If you have time, do this tour, and be prepared to laugh. This is one of the funniest things you can do in Nashville. The white trash demeanor hides the real comedic talent of these ladies...no matter how many times you take the tour, you'll hear something new and hilarious. It is now our new must-do activity any time friends come to town.
