Nassau's most venerated nightspot has been in operation for close to 30 years. The secret to their success is probably the variety. There are several distinct spaces, including a sports bar, disco and a patio bar. Music varies, from lite rock to reggae to European electronica, with the occasional live performance thrown in for good measure. The end result is a diverse crowd of locals and tourists, college age singles and 40-something married couples. You're sure to fit in – and have a great time!

As the only beachfront nightspot in Nassau, Cocktails and Dreams always has a hip scene. The music varies from night to night – rock, calypso, reggae, old R&B – but everyone dances no matter what the tunes are. Bars are located inside and on the beach, making drink replenishment an easy task, and there's a menu of simple but tasty pub grub should you like a little food to accompany your cocktail. Pool and darts are inside, too, and the place has good drink specials, particularly on Wednesday nights.

Atlantis' casino nightclub is announced by the huge dragon statues at its entrance. Escape from the buzz of the gaming floor to the thump of the dance floor! Bands and DJs provide the tunes, and the bars serve a great variety of tropical cocktails and beer. All you need to supply is the energy and the moves! Cover charge waived for Atlantis guests.

Fluid Lounge is THE trendy club in downtown Nassau. Most of the activity is on the main dance floor, where a youngish crowd shimmies and shakes to top 40, Latin and Island tunes. Two full service bars and a beer bar provide thirst quenchers. Perched above it all is the upscale VIP lounge, where the decibels are a little lower, the vibe is a little more exclusive, and the prices are a lot higher. Tables are available here by reservation with bottle service only. Expect to pay about $140 and up for the liquor and the privilege, although mixers are included.

Situated on East Bay Street between the two bridges to Paradise Island, Hammerheads is the epitome of an island bar and grill. It's usually filled with a good mix of locals and tourists who enjoy the laid back atmosphere, great happy hour specials, and satisfying pub grub like burgers, conch fritters and grilled fish. On Friday nights fun local bands play on the patio, so get there early!

Live entertainment in the midst of a tropical rain forest! The Wyndham's impressive 800-seat theater presents a fun variety show most nights of the week, featuring magicians, comedians, musicians, dancers and even a few surprise acts. It's a popular show for cruise ship passengers, so you'll want to book tickets in advance. Occasionally a big-name musical act will grace the stage, like Boyz II Men or the Pointer Sisters, and tickets for those shows sell out even quicker.

A small chain with locations in Mexico and the Caribbean, Senor Frog's caters mostly to tourists, functioning as a festive family friendly restaurant by day and a lively nightclub by night. The menu is big, with enough choice to please everyone, even kids. The unique Mexican Shrimp Cocktail is fabulous, and south of the border salads are hearty and satisfying. In addition to specialties like Winter Sabana (a thin beef filet covered with refried beans, salsa verde and Monterey Jack, served with a side of tortillas), there are a few American favorites as well, such as steaks, burgers and ribs. Tuesday, Friday and Saturday nights Senor Frog's welcomes live bands, and other nights there's karaoke or a DJ, but whatever the entertainment, you can be sure the crowd will be dancing and partying til the wee hours.

Open late nights and located right off the casino floor, The Deli is perfect when you need a break from the slots or want to catch up on that important game. Enjoy a New York-style deli sandwich and a cold beer, soup and salad, or hot-from-the-oven pizza. The menu also includes breakfast items for those really late night weekend partiers.
