This is Paradise Island's only waterside restaurant, so you know the setting alone will make a meal here special. Luckily, the food is just as awesome as the ocean view. Dishes tend to be Continental, but many have a Bahamian twist. Traditional main courses such as herb roasted Cornish hen, Veal Française and Steak Diane prepared tableside are joined on the menu by grouper stuffed with crab, Caribbean snapper, and blackened mahi mahi on spinach with guava salsa. Standout desserts include key lime pie, crème brûlée, and the local favorite, guava duff. The tavern's breakfast and lunch menus feature a good variety of local and international options – there truly is something for everyone.

Located on Paradise Island (opposite end from Atlantis; cheap taxi ride from there. About 20 min walk or you can try taking the free Atlantis shuttle and asking them to drop you off at the restaurant since it's just next to the Ocean Club Golf Course that the shuttle goes to.) They have the best Guava Duff on the island! It's perfectly warm and melts in your mouth. The restaurant overlooks the waterfront. Beautiful spot to eat with excellent fresh Bahamian seafood served daily. Samplings of their dishes include:
- Flaming Steak Diana. A 12oz certified Black Angus New York Strip Steak prepared table side the traditional way.
- Grouper "New Providence". A filet of Nassau Grouper stuffed with a herb & crab meat stuffing, sautéed & served with lobster & shrimp.
- Salmon Royale. A filet of salmon marinated in Nassau Royale, grilled and served with a lemon caper sauce.
- 12oz New York Strip, grilled & served with sautéed onions, mushrooms & Béarnaise Sauce or Steak Sauce.
- Fisherman's Fiesta. A 5oz lobster tail, shrimps & scallops lightly blackened & served with a spicy Creole sauce.
- When available, Jerk Chicken and steamed conch.
- Delicious appetizers include stone crab claws, conch fritters, beef satay skewers, escargots "paradise", Andros crab cakes & shrimp spring rolls.
- Although quite strong, their flaming Bahamian coffee, also prepared table side can compliment any after dinner treat (prepared with Bahamian Rum!)

Columbus Tavern is the only native waterfront restaurant on Paradise Island serving fresh fish cooked any way you like it, great steaks such as the flaming Steak Diane prepared tableside, and local Bahamian specialties like their Guava Duff dessert that melts in your mouth. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week with Daily Happy Hours from 5-7pm. Enjoy live music on Friday and Saturday nights and a traditional Bahamian breakfast served on Saturdays and Sundays. Take a look at their website at www.columbustavernbahamas.com where you can view menu and wine listings and make online reservations.
