5. Luciano's of Chicago

DOWNTOWN.   Set in a former residential mansion, Luciano's says elegance from the moment you enter the marble- and mahogany-clad foyer. Dining areas benefit from creative atmospheric lighting, which accents the warm colors and mesmerizing harbor views. Traditional Italian fare is the specialty, although there are a few excellent Bahamas-inspired options as well, such as the unique conch cakes with basil-red pepper aioli. Pastas are perfectly al dente and well-sauced, but perhaps the star dish is the juicy clay pot roasted chicken with lemon, garlic, potatoes and tomatoes. Enjoy a cocktail or a glass of wine in the bar before dinner – Nassau's 9 to 5'ers frequently gather here for after-work appetizers and socializing.   (© 10Best)

Love this place.. Food and ambiance are both first class. Prices are reasonable for the area. Al Fresco dining is romantic and staff is professional and friendly.

While the harbor views are beautiful, the food is average and the prices are higher than the local guide books say. Be prepared to spend $50-$60 per peron for dinner with a glass of wine.
