Celebrating America's maritime history, this museum on the grounds of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy showcases the ships, artistry, garb, and medals of seafaring and its related military service. In the collection are photographs, navigational tools, model ships, handcarved figureheads, and more. An additional attraction on the grounds of the Academy is the "Eagle," a tall ship claimed as a spoils of WWII. Visitors need a government issued photo identification to enter the campus.
