DOWNTOWN.   Longevity definitely means something for this pub, which has been around for two centuries now. The small, narrow space sports well-worn tables and a long bar that serves beer and wine only. The place, once a hangout for Eugene O'Neill, also turns out terrific burgers and such pub fare as sandwiches and soups, all homemade. Fair prices and a subdued ambience still recommend it as a favorite stop-off, an ideal place to eat, to chat, and even to read, if that's your desire.   (© 10Best)
