GARDEN DISTRICT.   This delightful French Creole restaurant is one of the city's best, no matter what time of day you visit. Prix fixe and à la carte options promise choice items, including seared Muscovy duck breast and onion-crusted Gulf snapper with shrimp and chanterelles. The prix fixe "jazz brunch" is a great weekend treat and features one of the best Bloody Mary's in the city, along with eggs Sardou, quail, and the restaurant's famous bread pudding soufflé. Outdoor seating available.   (© 10Best)

This lovely teal building in the Garden District has served up outstanding lunches and dinners since 1880. It also has beautiful patio dining as well as a jazz brunch on Saturday and Sunday. (from Southern Living)

Great Dining Experience
Commander's Palace is in the Garden District. Too bad it's not in the Quarter. Food was great! We ate in an upstairs room overlooking a garden area. Excellent service. Excellent choice!

Very disappointed in CP. Menu was limited - "tasting option" listed but the entire table had to order for any guest to enjoy. First two bottles of wine selected - they didn't have. Too long between courses. Bill was $100 in error - was charged for wine they didn't have plus an entree not received. With all of these issues - no one seems upset at all..... Will not visit again and will not recommend.

Always feels like home. If your family were chef's that cooked classic Creole meals. And had an excellent selection of wine. And treated you like a king.
