Great Dining Experience
Commander's Palace is in the Garden District. Too bad it's not in the Quarter. Food was great! We ate in an upstairs room overlooking a garden area. Excellent service. Excellent choice!

Very disappointed in CP. Menu was limited - "tasting option" listed but the entire table had to order for any guest to enjoy. First two bottles of wine selected - they didn't have. Too long between courses. Bill was $100 in error - was charged for wine they didn't have plus an entree not received. With all of these issues - no one seems upset at all..... Will not visit again and will not recommend.

Always feels like home. If your family were chef's that cooked classic Creole meals. And had an excellent selection of wine. And treated you like a king.

Our party of six was seated promptly for the Saturday Jazz Brunch. The service was excellent and unhurried; the waiters sensed when we needed attention. The menu offered a good selection of meat, egg, poultry, and fish dishes with the Mississippi quail our favorite. The strolling band of jazz musicians were a great asset. A wonderful experience!

Again, another restaurant that is usually packed to the brim with tourists. During the jazz brunch, the band might be only a few feet from you, or at the other end of the room, either way, don't expect to be able to have conversation at the table because you won't be able to hear each other. Prices are high, food is pretty good, but the value isn't!
