Sugar and Caffeine
and as long as you aren't looking for more then that you're golden! Very limited menu but why add to perfection. Best part is they are open 24/7 and no matter when you need a fix they are promptly by your side to take your order. I just wish you could get bigger sized coffee's!

Great location for people watching, music and coffee. I only drink chicory coffee now and their cold cafe au lait is the best; beats Starbucks

Fantastic Beignets and Coffee! Prompt service despite the fact it was manically busy. Whatever you do, do not even think about using the bathrooms here though.

This is the most over-rated culinary destination in New Orleans after Brennan's! There is nothing great about Cafe du Monde. If you really want to try a beignet, then go to Cafe au Lait.

Have been experiencing Cafe du Monde for over 35 years. There's nothing better than a cup of coffee at the cafe.

A must see and experience on a trip to New Orleans. I go once or twice each trip.

This is the best people watching spot in New Orleans. In the wee hours you may see tuxedos to street people. There are usually wonderful street musicians who play in this area. This is a particularly wonderful spot at Christmastime.

This is an absolute must for anyone who visits the French Quarter. Sit outside and watch the people, and wolf down at least half a dozen of the lightest, most delicious hot powdered sugar-dusted things you ever ate. They are like a square, hollow donut, not at all greasy, and the chicory coffee is the perfect companion. If you aren't accustomed to strong coffee, and I mean strong, start out with cafe au lait, and work your way up. You can also purchase the beignet mix and coffee to take with you, and the decaf version is a dead ringer for the regular.
