FRENCH QUARTER.
Café du Monde is a pilgrimage for some and a true "N'Awlins" experience for others. A French Market landmark, the café is renowned for its beignets, which are fried dough covered with powdered sugar. Since opening in 1862, Café du Monde has been the spot locals and tourists flock to for savory chicory coffee, café au lait and light pastry desserts. All can be enjoyed while soaking in the foot traffic of Jackson Square while sitting at the café.

Beignets – doughnuts dusted with powdered sugar – remain a classic at Cafe du Monde, especially when dunked in chicory coffee. (from Southern Living)

Sugar and Caffeine
and as long as you aren't looking for more then that you're golden! Very limited menu but why add to perfection. Best part is they are open 24/7 and no matter when you need a fix they are promptly by your side to take your order. I just wish you could get bigger sized coffee's!

Great location for people watching, music and coffee. I only drink chicory coffee now and their cold cafe au lait is the best; beats Starbucks

Fantastic Beignets and Coffee! Prompt service despite the fact it was manically busy. Whatever you do, do not even think about using the bathrooms here though.
