Long and straight off the tee is a must at this difficult course. Missing these narrow fairways will leave long, difficult approach shots to demanding greens. Tillinghast's gem boasts fast greens that are in perfect condition.   (© 10Best)

Last month was the second round I've played at Quaker Ridge. The first was in 1999. I looked forward for a few years to have the chance again. I was so disappointed this time around. The course was in such poor shape. The turf wasn't healthy. But my first round in '99, still to this day, was the best. I sure hope Quaker Ridge can go back to what it was.......
