The Buzz -- When most people contemplate New Year's Eve, they think of hitting a bar or sitting for hours in Times Square. Well, for something different, how about a four-mile fun run? The New York Road Runners Club holds this run every New Year's Eve starting at midnight; preceding it are dancing and a costume contest held at the Central Park Bandshell. Also part of the festivities: a terrific view of fireworks going off – they roughly mark the start of the late-night race. |
