9. Times Square Comedy Club

This is the worst comedy club in town--and I was happy to hear a comic on stage say the very same thing while I was there. On 1/1/2009, these people oversold their show (reservations aren't required), forcing an entire audience to wait outside in the sub-freezing cold for a long time. They lied about when the show would start--they delayed our show by 90 minutes because they put on an unplanned show for the oversold crowd. When we finally did get into the show, my first drink did not arrive until 90 minutes into the 120 minute show. These people did not allow us to buy drinks during our 90 minute wait for the show to start. The manager was a totally slimy guy. It would seem that they can and do prey on tourists because their theater is near Times Square. Unethical and sleezy is not my idea of entertainment.
