10. Hudson Bar

HELL'S KITCHEN.   The appeal of this stunning bar extends far beyond hotel guests. More exactly, the Hudson Bar has remained a key part of the Hell's Kitchen scene since its debut, and the well-heeled, Euro-cool clientele the place attracts don't seem to mind dropping a few dimes in order to be seen here. The ceiling, painted by Francesco Clemente, gives the place a certain Louis XV quality that is juxtaposed with sleek, contemporary elements like a glass floor that is lit from underneath and furniture that'd make Kubrick grin with pride.
