LOWER EAST SIDE.   Located below street level, this hip lounge occupies the space that was once that versatile watering hole known as the Ludlow Bar. These days, the scene has mellowed somewhat, and the Dark Room has become a favorite post-party destination for bands who have performed in nearby neighborhood venues (acts like the Killers and Libertines).
