50. Spuyten Duyvil

BROOKLYN.   "Old school" only hints at the atmosphere of this popular Dutch beer hall in Williamsburg. Pressed tin ceilings and dark-stained floors, and a mahogany bar give the narrow space a touch of charm, but it's the beer selection that has been drawing in large crowds from each of the boroughs. Connoisseurs of quaff are sure to be enthralled by the chalkboard behind the bar, where the staff keeps a running list of what's available by the bottle and on tap, from De Proef Flemish Primitive to Troubadour Obscura.
