EAST VILLAGE.
The line out the door will show you that vegans and carnivores agree – Angelica Kitchen is a wonderful dining experience. Anyone worried that vegetarian fare isn't filling hasn't tried the sweet potato croquettes flavored with pecans, garlic, fennel and caraway, with an onion-dill glaze. Other filling favorites are the hot, open-faced tempeh sandwich and the "dragon bowl" composed of steamed sea veggies, rice, beans and tofu. Don't forget to save room for the delectable desserts – the lemon-almond torte wins raves among regulars.

They are not nice to children- go somewhere else!
I wish that things were different, but you are allowed to BYOB, but not outside snacks/food for a toddler. There is no children's menu (and service is slow). Then they will make you remove the food so that the toddler screams and then you leave- shame on Angelica Kitchen- any parents out there UNDERSTAND if a hungry toddler is behaving and quiet, don't PULL the snacks away (maybe next time we would know, but not an appropriate thing to expect of a parent at the time)- obviously the man with the beard is a nice gentleman, but clueless to life and does not have children...sometimes one must pull themselves out of the clouds and deal with REALITY (a little food containing possible dairy that a child was eating would not really change your life--hang a sign on the door--no children allowed with any snacks, especially if they contain dairy)--many of the 'perfect people' that eat at this restaurant may agree in this case with the bearded man, but good warm and understanding people who love children do...afterall, be nice to children, they are the future generation- we will go to the many other NICE veg. places in the city--MANY exsist that appreciate the next generation of vegetarians. Honestly, we are sorry to offend and respect rules, regulations, but there are exceptions inlife, really, come on.....you parents out there KNOW!!!!

I ate there today, the service excellent, restaurant immaculate, and the food...well the food may be the best vegetarian meal I've ever had, it was imaginative, and attractive, and tasted great.
