pastrami guy
I've been to all the Delis in the city and they are for the most part very good but hands down Sarge's has the best pastrami and corned beef I have ever tried. I don't know how they do it but they are just melt in your mouth delicious.

When I come into New York from Pittsburgh, I make sure to stay in Murray Hill. First thing after checking into a hotel is to head straight to Sarge's Deli for the best center-cut tongue in the city. Definitely the best deli in New York.

It's no coincedence I've been going for breakfast and lunch almost every Sunday. They're wonderful people and the pastrami, matzoh ball soup and eggs with hash have never failed. There is always a consistency of excellence.

Have been eating there for more than 36 years. Briskets, burgers, soups, salads, breakfast foods - ALL GREAT. Their brown gravy is GREAT!
