LITTLE ITALY.
This neighborhood eatery is one of the gems of Mulberry Street. Boasting a warm cozy interior and amiable waitstaff, Pellegrino's Dine on such delightful dishes as linguine with arugula, sun-dried tomato, porcini and cremini mushrooms or veal scaloppini with prosciutto and spinach. For dessert, you'll never forgive yourself if you don't save room for the homemade tiramisu or Italian cheesecake. In the warmer months, dine al fresco. TRAIN: 6 to Spring St

Don't visit Pellegrino's
Really nothing more than a smooth, industrial money-from-the-tourist place. Don't go there unless you're a communist who likes it when your VISA-reciept comes back with the tip already filld in by the waiter - since they know you they're no where close to the18% tip they charge for them self !!!
As a matter of fact - AVOID LITTLE ITALY ALL TOGEHTER. You'll find plenty of good italian food all over NYC. Use your avarage tourist guide book!

Lovely and Delightful
We were a bit sceptical of the tourist trap that Little Italy could be, but after the lovely non-salesy staff at Pellegrino's seated us, it was lovely from start to finish. The soup was like grandma's, the salad fresh and crisp. I had amazing sea scallops and definitely had a little room for a bit of their ricotta cheesecake. The staff was attentive and courteous the entire meal. It was perfect.
