BROOKLYN.   Famous for its delicious, coal-oven baked pizza and old-timey jukebox, this charming little pizzeria is tucked away under the Brooklyn Bridge. They use only the freshest of ingredients, including fresh mozzarella made on the premises. Grimaldi's consistently wins "Best of..." awards, and is the definite favorite of locals. It may be a little out of the way, and you may have to wait for a table on weekends, but you'll find this eatery to be well worth the visit. No slices, whole pies only! Great sauce and toppings make this my favorite place to get a pie anywhere in the city. A great ice cream place only a minute's walk away too

If you don't like pizza, don't come here. It's all they offer - but it's an offer you can't refuse. The brick oven creates thin crusty pizza in a matter of minutes. The toppings are always fresh. The mozzarella is used as a flavoring rather than being dumped all over the pizza. There are no "slices" here - it's the whole pie. Take out orders are wrapped in special paper bags rather than cardboard boxes so that they still taste like pizza when you get home. It's a little out of the way but well worth the trip.
