FINANCIAL DISTRICT.   Located in the modern Marriott Financial Center Hotel, the Big Apple edition of Roy Yamaguchi's international chain offers fabulous Pacific Rim cuisine, much to the delight of the District's movers and shakers. The menu features a wide range of seafood dishes bearing a sort of Euro-Asian character, including charred salmon with enoki mushrooms, and herb and garlic grilled shutome. Those not in the mood for seafood may be tempted by grilled filet mignon in wild mushroom-thyme sauce or wood-grilled pork chop with ginger-pear sauce. My cousin surprised her husband with a cruise to Hawaii for their 20th wedding anniversary and thought that Roy's would be the appropriate place to, well surprise him. She invited a group of people to dinner. The wait staff was very attentive. The portions were very small and PRICEY. My finacee ordered the chicken dinner with mashed potatoes and he got a cornish hen drumstick with a tablespoon of mashed potatoes for about 30 dollars. I laughed, he's a body builder and immediately said "where's the beef?" ha ha! I ordered a fish sampler plate. I got 3 pieces of sashimi with a squirt of squash puree for 30 dollars. However, I did have a passion fruit cocktail, it was heavenly, the best! their drinks are very good. If you like to eat a snack, and pay top dollar for it, then this is the place for you. DO NOT GO TO ROY'S HUNGRY....
