CHELSEA.   A cozy Chelsea bistro, La Belle Vie is a relative newcomer. Formerly named Trois Canards, the restaurant underwent restorations and was reborn with red leather-like banquettes, a zinc bar and lots of mirrors. The mixed French and Italian fare will ensure a return visit. A popular brunch is offered Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm.
