MIDTOWN WEST.   This trendy eatery, located at the bohemian Chambers hotel, has amassed a fair amount of celebrity since opening in March of 2001. This Midtown neophyte, designed by David Rockwell, features 20-foot ceilings, original international artwork and natural lighting. Innovative Chef Geoffrey Zakrian's menu runs the gamut, including his famous wood-grilled pigeon, partridge and quail entrées. Reservations are required; dress is smart casual.
