UPPER EAST SIDE.   This attractive red brick restaurant offers up a variety of Mediterranean-influenced dishes, including several homemade Italian-style pasta plates and scrumptious salads. The eclectic menu includes dishes with a wide range of influences, from French recipes to more exotic Asian fare. Best of all, even if you order a bottle of your favorite wine, you won't lose your shirt at Sharz. You'll find this neighborhood eatery way up in the East 90s; however, it is well worth the trip.
