12. Didier Aaron

UPPER EAST SIDE.   The two floors of Didier Aaron are reminescent of an attic on some grand 19th century European estate, minus the cobwebs. The gallery specializes in French paintings and drawings of the 17th-19th century, but also has a good selection of European furniture and decorative arts. Known for their eclectic collection of quality antiques, the gallery is part of a network that includes shops in London and Paris. They offer insurance and estate valuations as well.
