UPPER EAST SIDE.   This gourmet market specializes in southern Italian goods and is named for the mother-daughter team who established it. The wonderfully cozy place promises a treasure trove of delicious foodstuffs and prepared items. Cheeses, meats, seafood, sushi, and produce are spectacular, and appetizers like pâtés, olives, foie gras, caviar, and more are easily had. Homemade pastas, spit-roasted chickens, grilled fish, and sinful pastries are terrific take-home fare as well. Early in her career, Rachael Ray was A&V's store manager and buyer.   (© 10Best)
