I was so happy, while staying at the Regent Wall Street the other day, that a Borders Book Store opened to replace the one that was located at the World Trade Tower site.

Natrona Furniture on West 20th at 6th Avenue was really an amazing store. Finally someone who offers mid- to high-end designer furniture at reasonable prices. The best part is: EVERYTHING IN STOCK. I was truly amazed, they have two floors and great accessories. I loved the fur rugs. Off the beaten path, but truly a must see.

Huge selection of Polish specialties, deli meats and cheeses. Everything is incredibly good, and at bargain pricing compared to local chain stores. Variety of sausages, of which "kabanosy" are the best – they're long, very skinny versions of kielbasa that look like sticks. A good choice of juices, condiments, jams, and canned meats/fish is also available. If you don't understand the label, just ask – everybody there speaks English. Hot Polish food is prepared for takeout or dine-in, and can be had for a good price. Nice place for lunch.

This gallery carries a number of artists. Two that really stood out [were] Ulla Darni (reverse painted chandelier) and Jim Vilona (bronzes).
