13. South Mountain Reservation

With 19 miles of trails and 27 miles of paved paths for riding and jogging, South Mountain Reservation is a popular year-round recreational destination. Hikers and horseback riders populate the trails during the warmer months, and cross-country skiers take over in the winter. Other features include Turtle Back Zoo, two indoor ice skating rinks, an archery range, several picnic areas and fishing at Diamond Mill Pond.
