4. Hambletonian Day

The Buzz -- This annual harness-racing event is a big draw for locals and tourists alike. The event, held the first Saturday in August at Meadowlands, features a $1.5 million purse. Both competitors and spectators will be local, national, and international in scope! Definitely worth a look for visitors to the area during the event. Meadowlands Racetrack is located at the intersection of Route 3 and the New Jersey Turnpike.
