 EDITOR REVIEW: Housed in the Gothic-style Olmstead Hall that features a central, imposing turret, the West Point Museum has one of the oldest collections of military artifacts, weapons, uniforms and artillery available in the US. Some pieces date back to 1777, well before the Academy opened its doors in 1802. Parts of the collection are displayed to the public but all are available for the edification and research of the cadets.
