6. Hudson Valley Ramble

The Buzz -- A celebration of "America's First River" takes place up and down its shores from NYC to Saratoga and Washington counties. Over 200 events organized by region and level of difficulty (from family-frendly to advanced) lead ramblers, paddlers and history buffs into and around the river to explore and learn about the culture and ecology of the Hudson, a tidal estuary that has been designated a National Heritage Area. Events are led by a vast group of volunteer experts from local environmental and historic preservation organizations. The Hudson Valley area offers wildlife, historic and scenic excursions in a variety of special locations.
