This breathtaking sculpture is the largest sculpture in Britain. The angel stands 65 feet high and has a wingspan of 177 feet. The statue can be seen from many different points throughout the city. It was created by sculptor Anthony Gormley to begin the Gateshead public art program in 1998.   (© 10Best)

I live in the North East and seen this is famous landmark of the North East of England embarrassing. This looks like a plane with a head and legs an Angel does not have wins as planes. By the way i am from Teesside just so you know. I like Newcastle and Gateshead. But this thing is not worth visiting Newcastle for just leave that and visit something a whole lot better go to the Metro Centre you will have a bast there its great. Angel of the North should be demolished.
