Archaeologists have uncovered fascinating facts in Arbeia that date as far back as the first century AD. This museum displays weapons and forts used by the Romans as well as a full-scale reproduction of the Roman Fort's West Gate. Actual archaeological digs can be viewed along with many of the artifacts that have been recovered. Hands-on and interactive activities and frequent special events are held throughout the year.
