This restaurant provides a plethora of choices to suit most any appetite. Happy hour specials include pizzas and pastas and are available for less than three pounds. Larger meals, such as sirloin steaks and garlic fried king prawns, are also available. The interior is upscale with the décor consisting of white table clothes and Italian pictures on the walls.

Possibly the worst italian restaurant I have ever been in. My wife and I spent a few days in Newcastle this week, and 'stumbled' accross Luigi's - UNFORTUNATELY.
Yes, the prices are cheap, but the place was awful. Waitress (? Manager) publicly arguing with chef / kitchen staff. I ordered potato wedges with BBQ sauce for starter. Wedges were greasy and hard, BBQ sauce watery. Then Calzone Piza for main. Piza pastry was hard, I do not know what was inside they called ham, a horrible soft/raw substance that was nothing like any ham i have ever tasted before. I had one mouthful but left the rest.
I complained about the piza and was told it was new chef and they were having problems. Sort of apology, asked if i anted something else. Did not want to risk it so said no. Asked for bill, and found I had been charged over Ł10 for wine, when I had ordered a half litre of house wine at Ł5.90 ish. She said it was a mix up as waiter had put wrong code on bill.
A total disaster. I would never go again.

This Italian restaurant has great food at great prices, the staff are very friendly and the decor is very nice too.
There is a good wine list, and drinks menu. The drinks are a bit over priced, but all restaurants charge over the odds for there thirst quenchers.
Overall I would give this restaurant a 8/10
