NEWPORT NEWS. A well-known venue for local and national comedians, Cozzy's has kept the Peninsula laughing since 1991. You can just go to the show, or you can make reservations for dinner and a show. The meal is available for a fixed price – you chose an entree and everything except the drinks comes with it. A fun place to spend an evening – if you don't laugh here, you must be dead! Tuesday-Thursday, Cozzy's has karaoke and live music.

HAMPTON. Early in the evening, this place is filled with family diners who love Goodfellas' reasonably priced and tasty food. But the crowd changes once the entertainment starts. Almost anything goes on Tuesday's open mic night, and regional and national bands play on Fri-Sat nights. Located in what is locally called "The Block," this is a very popular hangout on the weekends. During the warmer months, and sometimes even during the not-so-warm ones, the patio gets packed.

NEWPORT NEWS. This mild-mannered deli with great burgers turns up the heat after 9pm and becomes an over-21 nightspot. From Tuesday through Saturday, local and national bands crank it up to the delight of patrons. As the music style varies from night to night, so does the audience. There are also dartboards and some skilled regulars to challenge visitors to a game. For food and fun, this place is hard to beat!

NEWPORT NEWS. Eight TVs, a projection screen, three satellite dishes and video games keep this place hopping with customers. RJ's stays hyper-busy during football and basketball season and very busy with other sports the rest of the year. A well-known place for darts, also. If you are visitor in town, you'll fit in immediately – this is a fun, casual spot with good food, too.

HAMPTON. Located in the Radisson, Signals is a popular place to watch a game, play interactive trivia, shoot pool, or throw darts. Monday through Friday, they have a buffet with drink specials each evening. The food here is plentiful and tasty, and the bartender knows what he's doing.
