NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE. Although the original inn (which dated to 1824) was destroyed in 1992, this restoration recalls the one-time home of Captain Duncan Milloy with its architecture, ambience and hospitality. These days, guests are accommodated just as well, with rooms and with the inn's terrific cuisine. Among the pastas, chicken and lamb you'll also find slow-roasted prime rib, cider-glazed pork tenderloin and tea-smoked Alaskan cod. Niagara wines, outdoor dining, and a comfy lounge are among the inn's additional attributes. Lunch can be selected a la carte; dinner is a choice of three or four courses prix fixe.
