FALLSVIEW. Awash in Old World art and artifacts and Victorian excess, Casa d'Oro lives up to its title of "House of Gold." The family-owned restaurant lavishes as much attention on its menu as on its decor, and the results are evident in filet mignon, rack of lamb, Dover sole, king crab legs, veal medallions and seafood linguine. They're just the start of the delectable dishes, made all the better by regional Niagara wines and a host of Italian and French vintages. Convenient to the Falls.

FALLSVIEW. Founded in 1971, this locally-owned pizza and sub shop was one of the area's most beloved family eateries until it sadly closed for business back in 1986. Fortunate it was for everybody that the original proprietors' son, Albert Zappitelli, decided to restart the family business in 2002, using his parents' recipes to crank out delish oven-baked pizzas, pasta dishes made with their signature tomato sauce, and awesome oven-roasted subs! Today, Zappi's is as popular as ever, and their laidback location in the Fallsview area is a welcome boon to those traveling in groups.
