9. Shaw Cafe & Wine Bar

NIAGARA-ON-THE-LAKE.   With its circular dining room and flower-bedecked patio, this cafe is one of the area's most memorable. In warm weather, the patio certainly offers the most coveted seating, but the interior is also striking, thanks to iron and tilework and European ambience. Gourmet light fare is the cafe's strong suit, as seen in steamed mussels with cream sauce, potato frittata, poached salmon and a vegetable focaccia sandwich. Had a great late lunch on the patio today. Excellent service, reasonable prices and delicious food. Most important to me was the friendly help accomodating Mom's wheelchair. Perfect ending to a lovely day!
