This 17th century Baroque palace, restored by the city in the 1940s, now serves as the Heritage Centre, displaying exhibitions of Nice's history and culture. Many of the building's original features, including trompe l'oeil paintings, elaborate plasterwork, and an imposing façade, have survived as a testament to the era's wealth and prestige. A wide collection of decorative arts and furnishings document the period, as does a pharmacy restored and outfitted to the standards of 1738.
