Hampton Roads naval history gets top billing in many Norfolk tourist attractions. On the waterfront, the Nauticus is one of the chief attractions in Norfolk, boasting the USS Wisconsin and a unique combination of science and historical exhibits. Other attractions in downtown Norfolk include historical homes and the impressive Chrysler Museum of Art. Be sure to take in Norfolk attractions outside the city limits as well, particularly the Great Dismal Swamp, one of the most biologically diverse zones in the region.
