9. The Hermitage Museum and Gardens

The Hermitage Foundation Museum in Norfolk is actually an early-20th century home located on the Lafayette River and surrounded by one the most beautiful gardens in Norfolk. It's top attraction, the Sloane Collection (named for the family who started the foundation) is dispersed throughout the home's 42 rooms and includes pieces from all over the world, from ancient Chinese tomb figures to hand painted windows from Germany.   (© 10Best)
