7. Nauticus, The National Maritime Center

DOWNTOWN.   One of the truly unique Norfolk museums, the Norfolk Nauticus is a must if you want to learn more about the important role water has played in the development of the Hampton Roads area. Designated as the national maritime center, Nauticus features scores of exhibits that focus on everything from marine biology to nautical enterprises, easily making it one of the best Norfolk attractions.
