3. O'Sullivan's Wharf

Local flavor
I travel frequently for work and when I'm on the road I try to seek out restaurants and bars with local character. O'Sullivan's Wharf is one of those gems that allows a visitor to see a snapshot of what living in Norfolk is like. The staff was very friendly and helpful (the bartender recommended the BBQ - and it was delicious!). The patrons of the bar -who obviously had known each other for years- didn't mind inviting an out-of-towner into the conversation. And even the owner of the restaurant sat down and introduced himself then freely shared the history of his establishment. I had a wonderful evening and would highly recommend it to others.
