3. Chapelfield Gardens

This Norwich garden area is one of the city's favorite settings for a leisurely afternoon stroll. Nearly 500 years ago, Chapelfield Gardens was the setting for archery competitions. Until the late 19th century, the gardens were privately held. In 1877, however, Chapelfield was opened to the public, making it the first designated public park in the city.   (© 10Best)
