5. Myriad Botanical Gardens

DOWNTOWN.   This indoor and outdoor garden oasis features a spring-fed lake stocked with Japanese koi and native Oklahoma fish. Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory recalls paradise with palms, orchids, exotic plants, butterflies, lizards, and a cascading waterfall. Outside, stone pathways wind along running streams, through Meinders Gardens (with its perennials and shrub specimens), around freshwater ponds, and by beautifully landscaped grounds. Take time to stroll the 17 colorfully landscaped acres of this botanical garden, located in the heart of the downtown area. The garden is home to over 1,000 species of plants from every continent except Antarctica.
