OLD MARKET.
With an aluminum and white 1950s diner decor, enjoying a pizza slice and a cold brew at Zio's is like stepping back into time. This pizzeria is the real thing. Homemade dough, fresh made sauces, and natural toppings add to the flavor of the pies. Zio's Pizzeria also has Neapolitan pies, like the zucchini supreme, and calzones with names like the Mini-Bronx, which features pepperoni, Canadian bacon, onions, and mushrooms. Daily specials include the Manhattan chicken melt and meatball hoagie, as well as salad options.

Zio's = unclean
They make so many mistakes with your order, I have seen bugs all over the place. I saw a huge bug of some kind crawl out of cash register once. The one time I was in there, I ended up sick the next morning. This place needs to be condemned.

skip out on Zios
We go to Zio's at 79th/Dodge regularly, but this last was the worst. We ordered a spicy topping pizza and a child-friendly pizza (for our 3 children under 5). The spicy 3-topping pizza came out first which was a surprise. What was supposed to be a 1/2 cheese and 1/2 pepperoni pizza, came out almost 10 minutes later with half cheese and half jalepeno peppers. Our waitress was lame and she should have double checked with the order first and then should have comp'd the order. We had to wait an additional 10 minutes before we got 4 smaller slices of pepperoni pizza. DON'T GO HERE - the service will screw up your order, it takes too long, and the food is overrated.

Ordered a pizza for carryout from the 132nd and Center store and discovered some of the toppings were missing. Called and spoke with "John" (manager) and was told the cooks informed him the pizza was made correctly. After several rounds of bantering back and forth and insinuations that I was "lying", I gave up. What happened to the concept of keeping the customer happy?! There are plenty of other pizza choices in town and Zio's just lost a formally loyal customer!
